New to Tracy?

What is Tracy?

Tracy lets website owners, content editors and agencies build and edit real websites by describing the changes they need. The website stays on its CMS, with a normal administration interface. Tracy hosts newly created sites and imported working copies.

Which platforms can I build with or import?

You can create a new WordPress, Joomla or EmDash website from an available starting design. You can import an existing WordPress or Joomla website. Importing EmDash and working with Shopify or arbitrary custom-coded applications are not supported.

Does Tracy edit my live site directly?

For an imported website, Tracy edits a hosted working copy. Connecting the original can install or update its Claude Cowork connector before the copy is created. Ordinary edits to the working site run immediately. Consequential actions can show a confirmation card, including deletions, database rollback, core upgrades and extension installation. There is no approval queue for every edit.

Who can see and change my site?

An accepted Viewer can see the site, leave comments and ask read-only questions. An Editor can also change pages, design, code and settings, undo, publish and restore backups. An Owner has those permissions plus control of roles, join requests, domains and site deletion. Permissions apply separately to each site.
